Zero Commercial Data Brokering
We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information, phone number, purchase history, or exact coordinates to third-party ad brokers or data aggregators. Your information is used strictly to fulfill your hyperlocal orders.
1. Information We Collect & Why
To provide reliable 0–10 km hyperlocal delivery, ZipNold collects the minimum necessary data:
Used solely to calculate real road distance in kilometers between your location and the merchant's shop, compute accurate delivery charges, and guide delivery partners to your door.
Used to identify your parcel on packaging labels and enable direct phone contact with the store owner or delivery driver if directions or item substitutions require confirmation.
2. Scoped Sharing During Active Orders Only
Your delivery details (name, phone number, and address) are shared exclusively with the specific store fulfilling your order, and only for the active duration of fulfillment.
Other merchants registered on ZipNold cannot view your orders, phone number, or profile. Once the order reaches a terminal state (Completed or Cancelled), communication channels close.
3. Automatic Expiration of Temporary 4-Digit Codes
To protect customer identity and streamline store operations, each order is assigned a temporary 4-digit packing code (like an OTP) upon placement.
- This 4-digit code is active strictly while the order is being accepted, packed, or delivered.
- Upon order completion or cancellation, the 4-digit code is automatically deleted and expired from the active order system.
- This ensures past codes cannot be snooped or spoofed, and permits code recycling for future neighbourhood orders without data leakage.
4. Data Storage & Security Standards
All customer and merchant credentials, sessions, and transaction records are encrypted using modern TLS encryption in transit and AES-256 at rest via our secure PostgreSQL database infrastructure with Row Level Security (RLS). We never store raw passwords or sensitive payment cards.
5. Your Privacy Rights
You have full authority over your personal information. You may view or update your delivery address, phone number, and saved locations anytime in your Customer Profile. If you wish to delete your account or order history, contact our privacy officer.
