Terms of Service & Operational Conditions
Last Updated: September 22, 2026 • Applicable to all Customers and Merchant Store Owners on ZipNold.
1. Platform Nature & Hyperlocal Scope
ZipNold (operated by ZipNold Technologies) is a hyperlocal technology platform facilitating direct commerce between local independent merchants and neighbourhood consumers residing within an operational radius of up to 10 km across supported service areas.
By accessing our website, creating a customer profile, or onboarding a merchant store, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service.
2Merchant & Store Owner Obligations
- Pricing & Stock Accuracy: Store owners must maintain genuine Maximum Retail Price (MRP) or discounted pricing. Product stock counts must be updated promptly via the Seller Dashboard.
- Packaging & 4-Digit Code Labeling: Merchants are required to write the Customer's Name and the unique 4-Digit Packing Code (e.g. Herover (2249)) directly onto every parcel before dispatch to avoid doorstep mix-ups.
- Quality & Expiry Compliance: Only fresh, unexpired, and undamaged products may be sold. The merchant bears complete responsibility for food hygiene, weights and measures, and manufacturer seals.
- Delivery & Turnaround: Orders accepted by the store must be prepared and dispatched promptly within the estimated 15–45 minute delivery window.
3Customer Responsibilities & Payment Readiness
- Accurate GPS Pinpoint & Address: Customers must provide an accurate map pinpoint and physical landmark. Road distances and per-km delivery charges are calculated automatically using this location.
- Phone Accessibility: Customers must keep their registered phone active. Delivery partners or store owners may call to verify address directions or item availability.
- Cash on Delivery (COD) Readiness: Customers selecting COD must have the required exact cash or be prepared to scan the delivery partner's direct UPI QR code upon arrival.
- Doorstep Package Verification: Customers should verify the parcel label (customer name and 4-digit code) before handing over payment.
4. Order Cancellation Rules
Because ZipNold deals with rapid 15–45 minute hyperlocal delivery and fresh consumables, the following strict cancellation rules apply:
Customers may cancel their order directly in the app with a single click only while the order is in PLACED status (before the store owner accepts and reviews it).
Once the store owner has ACCEPTED or PACKED the order, in-app cancellation is locked because packaging and inventory deduction have begun. Customers must click the “Call Store” button on their order page to request cancellation directly from the store owner.
5. Delivery Fee Computation
Delivery charges are determined strictly based on road kilometers from the merchant's physical shop location to the customer's designated delivery address. Each store owner sets their transparent rate per kilometer, displayed clearly in the cart before order placement.
If a delivery attempt fails due to customer unresponsiveness, incorrect phone number, or refusal to accept a verified order without valid defect, the customer may be blocked from future Cash on Delivery ordering.
6. Limitation of Liability
ZipNold functions as a digital marketplace facilitating direct interactions. The contract of sale for all products listed on the platform is directly between the merchant and the consumer. While ZipNold assists in dispute mediation, the merchant is solely responsible for product warranty, manufacturing defects, and statutory compliance.
